Twiggy Grid Outdoor Floor Lamp Arc

Foscarini and Marc Sadler's shared passion for research into new technologies has given rise to Twiggy, the iconic arched floor lamp which is available in an entire collection of lamps made of composite material on a lacquered fiberglass base. For outdoor use, the project has been completely redesigned in the lighting components and the aesthetics of the diffuser, which becomes woven in the outdoor Grid version. The reading and XL table version stand out for the successful synthesis of absolute formal simplicity and strong personality: using the same diffuser and the same base as the floor lamp, and a rod that develops vertically. Available in two colors to match with different settings.

Outdoor floor lamp with direct down light. Diffuser and rod made of fiberglass based composite material and liquid coated. The diffuser is made of ribbons of composite material manually plied onto the mold, and the overlapping tapes create the woven surface that is subsequently hand-coated. An additional layer of ribbon to complete the diffuser covers the lower and upper edges. A laserengraved transparent PMMA sheet in the middle catches and diffuses the light emitted by the multichip LEDs installed along the perimeter of the aluminium frame which acts as a dissipator. An additional opaline PMMA disc screens the light. Round base in polyester powder coated metal for guaranteed superior resistance to UV rays, to the weather and to chemicals. Electrical cable coated in black neoprene for outdoor use, transformer on the cable, !tted with a Schuko plug and terminal board without push-button panel.
