Brooks Zeitlin Design is a contemporary lighting design studio located in Encino, CA. Brooks Zeitlin Design produces custom crafted lighting fixtures of unique character and extraordinary quality. Composed of steel, wood, brass and fused art glass, the lighting reflects both the architectural and aesthetic background of its designer, Brooks Zeitlin.
Brooks hasn't stopped building since he got his first tool box at age three. At sixteen, the two-story geodesic dome he designed and built in his family's back yard attracted the attention not only of the Los Angeles Times, but of renowned architect/philosopher Buckminster Fuller. For the next three decades, Brooks focused his energies on designing and building projects ranging from houses to functional sculpture to fine custom furniture.
In 1995, Brooks’ focus turned to lighting design and manufacturing. His love of modern architectural forms and structures, combined with his metal, glass and woodworking skills, is the driving force behind his distinctive and elegant designs.
Brooks Zeitlin Design lighting fixtures have been installed in homes and businesses throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East. A recent installation hangs in the flagship store of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City.
