AJ Floor Lamp

The AJ Floor Lamp by Louis Poulsen features a fixture head with a distinct asymmetrical shape, which determines the light characteristics of the fixture. The fixture head is tilting. The base of the AJ Floor Lamp has a hole, which adds elegance and lightness to the design. The unique quality of its design idiom has made these fixtures modern classics.

Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu) and was part of the total design concept created for the hotel. Several of the products created for the hotel are regarded as design icons and within the Lighting industry the AJ-lamps in particular have obtained world-fame. In connection with the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ Lighting family, five new color variants were introduced. The new colors are carefully chosen from an updated Arne Jacobsen color concept.
